At a minimum I'd rather it just start to a blank screen and then at least I could use the Top Sites display to select where I want to go. I'd think that would cut the startup time dramatically. Or maybe just start to the top sites display. Add desired page to favorites, find in favorites, long press, select Add to home screen, use newly added shortcut to open Firefox with your "home" page.
